Back in early April, we somehow came into (legit) possession of the new Cracker album about six weeks before it was due in stores. I had planned a feature, but I scrubbed it at the last minute, and postponed it to a day closer to the release date. Well, that day came and went and, due to distractions and a few albums I was a bit more excited about, we never got around to featuring the album. At least, until tonight. Sunrise in the Land of Milk and Honey finally gets its night.
Here’s the rundown.

Bif Naked returns to record stores for the first time in years, but she hasn’t been resting. She’s gotten married, starred in a few indie films, and she beat breast cancer. She actually recorded some of The Promise after spending part of the day at the hospital getting chemo. Consistency, thy name is Depeche Mode. Since 1980 they’ve specialized in moody, electronic rock that was alternative way before alternative radio. Sounds of the Universedebuted at number three on the album charts, so they still have plenty of fans. There’s plenty of non-Depeche Mode stuff tonight as well, like new Placebo and Limousines, Earshot and Starsailor.
